KEEPER John Filan is pulling out the stops to help Wigan Athletic win Premiership status.
The big Aussie today revealed that next season may be his final year in English football.
This is why Filan wants Wigan to maintain their impressive start and sustain a serious promotion challenge.
He said: "I'm loving my football here at Wigan but my long-term plan is to return home.
"I have family back in Australia and guess I need to catch up with them sometime."
Filan's immediate priority is keeping a clean sheet in tomorrow's home game with Gillingham.
Striker Nathan Ellington picked up a slight knock in the midweek win over Stoke but is expected to start alongside Geoff Horsfield.
Manager Paul Jewell said: "Duke overstretched. We weren't taking any chances with him the other night but he should be fine for tomorrow's game.
"Gillingham are like us. They're an honest, hard-working team and you have to work to take anything from them.
"We're looking to build on the Stoke win when we played well and created a lot of chances. We just have to start taking more of these."
