WIGAN'S Steve McMillan is puzzled why team-mate Lee McCulloch isn't in the Scotland squad.

McMillan says McCulloch's form warrants a call-up from Scots boss Berti Vogts.

Wigan welcome back McCulloch for tomorrow's tough clash with Derby at Pride Park.

McMillan, who's likely to partner McCulloch in midfield,said: "Lee has done brilliantly and I'm sure he'd be a good acquisition for Scotland. He deserves his chance."

McCulloch returns after being sidelined with a head injury.

Manager Paul Jewell expects a tough test.

He said: "We are making progress but every game at this level is a good one to measure ourselves."
