CHAMPIONS Wigan Athletic are urging fans not to invade the pitch after Saturday's final home game with Barnsley.

Club bosses don't want the championship presentation at the JJB Stadium either interrupted or delayed.

Wigan Chairman Dave Whelan says: "We will make sure the trophy is taken by the players to all corners of the ground.

"I can fully understand why people want to run on and get close to the players but we ask them to remain where they are." Tweet
