WIGAN crashed to just their second home defeat of the season in the league as they went down to the only goal of the game against Plymouth.

Paul Jewell's men were well below par and could have no complaints at the finish as hungrier opponents took the spoils.

Plymouth snatched a surprise victory thanks for Marino Keith's 34th minute goal.

And Wigan lacked cohesion and spark and failed to raise their game even after going behind ' failing to muster even a single shot on goal during a dismal 90 minutes.

Substitute Gary Teale had a chance at the end but it drifted wide to sum up the Latics' afternoon
