WIGAN Athletic are busy plotting Manchester United's downfall despite having 12 of their own players away on international duty this week.
The table-topping Reds are next up at the JJB Stadium for a Wigan side currently languishing at the wrong end of the Premiership with just five points from six games.
They are particularly concerned about keeping tabs on Ole Gunnar Solsjaer.
He is back to his best for United and starred against Newcastle.
Wigan skipper Arjan De Zeeuw reckons the little Norwegian is always a handful.
De Zeeuw said: "It's good to see him back, but believe me Ole is terrible to play against. He's one of the best pros in the game and he only needs one second to find the smallest of gaps.
"Chelsea again look as if they are going to be the team to beat but United will be up there. They seem to have more about them than Liverpool.
"We're already looking forward to United's visit. We pushed them close last season and came back well after losing heavily the previous week in the Carling Cup Final."
Upturn
Meanwhile, Wigan veteran Matt Jackson believes Wigan will gain an upturn in form when the Premiership resumes next week.
He said: "We have to believe what we are doing is the right approach and not get down.
"We have a manager who is excellent at taking positives out of performances and we played well for most of the first half at Blackburn.
"We now have a two-week break and the lads are getting to know each other better, so hopefully things will start going our way quickly.
"Last season we got ourselves on a role but now it's a case of looking at the fixture list, seeing it's Manchester United next up and know we need something. Pressure builds up in funny ways but I'm sure the season will turn round for us."
Assistant boss Chris Hutchings believes it's only a matter of time before highly-rated left back Leighton Baines makes his breakthrough into the senior England side.
He said: "By playing for England Unders-21s, he'll be in the limelight and I'm sure he'll get his big chance sooner rather than later."

Wigan will be lucky to get NIL !
Brilliant! Great comment pedro! Because you've been playing well in your last two games, haven't you? United will have had all their players all over the world playing in international, now fair enough we've got 11 out, but still gives us a bed rock of 15 playes to be working on together whilst your boys are of getting jet lag.
It's local fans like you that get Man U a real bad name, all the 'moan' U fans live fifty miles way at least from the ground. The proper ones are decent lads who know a thing or two.
