WIGAN manager Paul Jewell is forced to delay selection due to injury problems.

Defender Ian Breckin, who joined Wigan from the Spireites in the close season, is among the casualties with a knee injury and could well miss out on a reunion.

Jed Brannan has an ankle injury and Lee McCulloch is under treatment for a leg injury after being stretchered off in the midweek Worthington Cup win over Northampton. Peter Kennedy (Achilles) is also out of the running.

Neil Roberts hopes for a call-up after impressing in the reserves. Jewell may also call on Lee Ashcroft who was on the bench in midweek.

Chesterfield will be without former Stockport player Glyn Hurst (ankle).
