WIGAN boss Paul Jewell says he is confident he will have new faces at the JJB before the transfer window closes.
Jewell is in talks with a number of unnamed targets - one of whom is thought to be Leicester striker David Connolly.
Reports claims the striker is set to move to the JJB today.
But while Jewell won't go into detail over his new signings, he believes he will get the striker he's looking for.
"In many respects we're racing against the clock as much as anything else, but the wheels are in motion on a couple of things and I'm pretty bullish about our chances at this stage," he told Wigan's official website.
"However the transfer market is a funny beast these days so I'm not prepared to divulge anything further until the fat lady has sung."
What would you make of a move for Conolly? Have your say.

Thanks a million Harry old bean, I was getting a bit worried YOU might not let him sign for us for a while.
Harry, Thanks for your in depth comments regarding the virtues and ability of David Connolly.
You're obviously related to Rodney Marsh, and should be treated as such.
Connolly is a good signing for Wigan and will score goals wherever he plays.
