MIKE FLYNN will today leave Wigan Athletic and join championship rivals Gillingham on a two-and-a-half year deal.

Stan Ternent, the Gillingham boss, made a surprise move for the Welsh midfielder, who is out of contract at the end of this season.

Meanwhile, Wigan manager Paul Jewell is hoping to bring Southampton striker Brett Ormerod on loan in time for Saturday's home game with Stoke.
