WIGAN Athletic went top of the Championship table after Nathan Ellington scored twice in their convincing win at West Ham.
Nathan Ellington put the visitors ahead after five minutes with a header from a David Wright cross.
Jason Roberts doubled their lead with a left-foot shot just before half-time and Ellington got his second header from Lee McCulloch's centre.
Bobby Zamora pulled a goal back when he was set up by Nigel Reo-Coker, but it proved nothing more than a consolation.

Yet again Paul Jewell's men produce a fantastic display and thoroughly deserve their victory.....yet what do you see on Sky as they report on the game?.....West Ham were poor today. Not a mention of being outclassed by the best side in the division.
Not a mention of being destroyed by the most potent strikeforce. No. Simply West Ham having a poor game.
Credit where it is due eh?
Wigan wave took a strong start in the league this season and i think they can get into the premiership this season!!!
