Wigan to sign Graham soccer short

TORQUAY United's prolific striker David Graham will complete his move to Wigan Athletic later this week.

Graham will meet Latics' boss Paul Jewell in the next 48 hours to finalise the deal. He scored 23 goals for Torquay last season.

Preston North End have also been linked with Graham but Wigan is the club he wants to play for to further his career.

Wigan remain interested in Blackburn Rovers defender Andy Todd who has been lined up to replace skipper Jason De Vos.

Latics have already had one bid for Todd turned down.

Andy Liddell is expected to join Sheffield United later this week. Paul Mitchell is set to reject a new contract and join Rochdale.

Latics' hopes of playing P.S.V. Eindhoven in a pre-season friendly have been dashed because of the Dutch club's clash with Manchester United in the Vodafone Tournament.

Wigan could instead set up a clash with Glasgow Rangers at the JJB Stadium.
