AMR Zaki wants to revive his Wigan career.

The Egyptian striker, who fell out with ex-boss Steve Bruce last season when continually returning home late from international duty, wants to stay at the DW Stadium.

Zaki has told his advisers in Cairo he regrets his behaviour and would welcome a return to Wigan.

But there is little chance of a compromise, with Wigan chairman Dave Whelan unlikely to take him back.

Panathanikos and Lyon are possible options.
