Wigan consider Zaki future

Amr Zaki
WIGAN Athletic officials will soon be discussing what is happening with striker, Amr Zaki, at the end of the season.

The Egyptian international will have completed his year-long loan spell from his club side, Zamalek.

Wigan have an option to sign Zaki, but that is likely to depend on his form between now and the end of the season.

Zaki, a firm favourite with the fans, has had a string of niggling injuries.

He was in sensational form at the start of the season, but his last goal in open play was back in October.

He is expected to lead the Wigan attack on Saturday at Middles- brough, partnering Hugo Rodallega.

New loan signing, Mido, is ineligible to face the club from which he signed.

Mido was back home in Egypt last week having a groin injury assessed by medics.

Meanwhile, speculation is again rife linking Latics boss, Steve Bruce, as a potential target for Newcastle in the summer.

Bruce, a Geordie, has twice turned down but would possibly seriously consider another approach from his hometown team.

What do you think? Have your say.
