STRIKER Henri Camara returns to the Wigan squad for the first time since April for their first home game of the Premier League season against Middlesbrough.
The Senegal international has fully recovered from a knee injury sustained in December which restricted him to just two starts in the closing months of last season and will add to the attacking options for boss Chris Hutchings.
Defender Emmerson Boyce is not yet fit to return from a groin injury while full-back Ryan Taylor is also still out and summer signing Michael Brown must wait for his debut as he continues the suspension incurred with Fulham at the end of last season.
Luke Young has been ruled out of Middlesbrough’s trip as he continues treatment for a thigh strain.
The former Charlton right-back picked up the injury in training last week.
Gareth Southgate has reported no new injuries following the 2-1 home defeat by Blackburn on Saturday and has named an unchanged squad for the tip to the JJB Stadium.
Brazilian midfielder Fabio Rochemback is still missing through suspension, while centre-backs Jonathan Woodgate, Robert Huth and Emanuel Pogatetz are still recovering from operations.
Wigan Athletic (from): Kirkland, Melchiot, Bramble, Granqvist, Kilbane, Valencia, Scharner, Landzaat, Koumas, Heskey, Folan, Sibierski, Camara, Hall, Skoko, Aghahowa, Pollitt.
Middlesbrough (from): Schwarzer, Jones, Davies, Taylor, Hines, Riggott, Wheater, Tuncay, Arca, Boateng, Downing, Cattermole, Johnson, Yakubu, Aliadiere, Lee.
Last season: Wigan 0 Boro 1
Key opponent: Stewart Downing - Scored in Boro's opener and a real danger when in full flow
Prediction: Wigan 1 Boro 1 - Both teams looked below par at the weekend so it might be a scrappy affair.
