JASON Taylor will be urging his team-mates to use Sundayés first win of the season as a springboard to further successes in the coming weeks.
The County midfielder, who isnét 20 until January, was selected as the Express Player-of-the-Month for August following a string of impressive performances in the Hattersé engine room.
Perhaps typically, Taylorés award coincided with him being dropped to the bench for the Bristol Rovers game [sorry, Jason! - Sports Ed], but the youngster has revealed that the weekend victory has created a égood buzzé amongst the players and each and every one of them are hungry for more.
Taylor said: "That was a good morale-booster for everyone on Sunday.
"Perhaps it wasnét the best performance, particularly in the first half, but ités the result that matters and in the end we deserved it.
"Hopefully we can build on that now and go and get another win on Saturday at Boston. A couple of wins can push us right up the table.
"So far this season we should have had some better results - our performances have deserved more - but Iém sure more victories will follow soon now.
"The fans have been brilliant too. The support for the team, and me in particular, is just great. You always get the odd fan who might have a go, but in general they are absolutely superb."
Taylor, who joined County on a permanent two-year deal on the eve of this season following a successful loan spell at the back end of last term, is now hoping to force his way back into the starting picture again before too long.
The former Oldham Athletic man added: "I was very disappointed to hear I wasnét starting of course, but youéve just got to get on with it havenét you?
"Iéve been pleased with my form so far this season, I think Iéve played reasonably well, but the gaffer wanted to play Michael Raynes in front of the back four on Sunday and he did play well.
"I did get on eventually, but more or less straight away I got clattered and Iéve got a bit of a dead leg. Iéll have a couple of days off though and get some treatment from [physio] Rodger Wylde. I should be ok again by Saturday."
Droylsden-based Taylor failed to make a senior appearance for Oldham, although he did make it onto the bench on a number of occasions last season.
He has now made 16 league and cup appearances for County.
