Jones, who started the season with a run of clean sheets, has watched County's impressive early form disappear in a succession of defeats - most notably a 4-1 hammering at home to north west rivals, Crewe Alexandra last week.
But the Pontypridd-born shot stopper believes the Hatters have enough quality players and experience to fight their way out of trouble and be in contention for a promotion place if they are in the higher regions of the table at Christmas time.
Jones, 32, said: "We are going through a bad patch but the manager is making some changes and hopefully we'll get it right soon. We've been playing quite well this season but you're always going to have a bad run and we know we can play a lot better.
"We seem to be conceding goals which is disappointing but luckily like when we went two up against Peterborough United, despite conceding a late goal we were strong enough to hold on for a win.''
Former Bristol Rovers keeper Jones, who has also had spells at Crewe and Swansea has had his fair share of mistakes this season, but believes there is no point in dwelling over his errors and is looking forward to reproducing the type of form which earned him glowing praise at the start of the season.
Jones said: "You make mistakes but you have to get on with it and not let it affect your game. If you kept thinking about it, you would be letting goals in, here, there, and everywhere.
"We are in quite a good position in the league at the moment and I think the manager would be reasonably happy with our defence and our attack at the moment. But we know we need to stop leaking goals.
"The manager is changing things around and we have got three difficult games coming up, but two wins puts us right back up there and it is important we play well."
