STOCKPORT Countyés Football in the Community department staged its annual seven-a-side junior tournament over the last bank holiday weekend.

The event took place at Countyés Manor Farm training ground, with the under-sevens, eights and nines playing on Saturday, the under-10 and 11s on Sunday, and the under-12s and 13s on Monday.

More than 120 teams from Stockport, Manchester, Cheshire, Lancashire and Merseyside participated in a hugely successful youth football tournament.

Scores - Cup Finals:

U-9s: Whaley Bridge 0 Cheadle and Gatley 1, Fair Play: Pearson.

U-10s: Inter Union 1 Stockport Junior Blues 0, Fair Play: Macclesfield Boys.

U-11s: Broadheath Blue 1 Wistaston United 0, Fair Play: Broadheath Green.

U-12s: West End 0 Denton Phoenix 1, Fair Play: Glossop North End.

U-13s: Juno A 0 Preston 2, Fair Play: West End Boys.

As the under-sevens and under-eights was a éFestival of Footballé, there were no winners in each of those age groups.
