IT may only seem a short while since Stockport County's season finished at Walsall, but the release of the 2005-06 fixture list is now just 15 days away.

The Football League will unveil who's playing who, when, and where, throughout the next campaign at 10am on Thursday, June 23 - ironically the first day back in pre-season training for Chris Turner and his new-look squad.

Clubs themselves are expected to receive their individual information around two hours in advance, although they won't be able to make the details public. Staff at the Football League will draw up provisional drafts of the fixture list in advance, before they are checked and double checked to ensure there are no inappropriate match clashes or fixture dates.

Details will then be circulated to clubs and media early on the Thursday morning, as fans everywhere clamber to see who their team will be facing on the opening day of a new campaign.

The new Football League season then gets underway on Saturday, August 6, 2005, and runs until Saturday, May 6, 2006.
