RICKIE LAMBERT: `Captain Fantastic' has been the life and soul for County. A fabulous passer of the ball, from short or long distances, and also scored some important goals, mainly with his trademark thunderbolt free-kicks. 8

DANNY GRIFFIN: The former Dundee United defender, McIlroy's fourth signing, has blossomed since his arrival at Edgeley Park, only for a bad injury to end his season prematurely. 7

DANNY JACKMAN: Solid at left-back and on the left wing, the former Aston Villa man has been `Mr Consistent' this season. 7

ROBERT CLARE: The promising young centre-back just gets better and better, maturing with every season and worthy of his 36 league appearances this term. 8

DANNY ADAMS: The tough-tackling defender has been solid ever since he made his debut against Bristol City in March. 7

LEE CARTWRIGHT: The former Preston North End midfield grafter has revelled on the right side this term and is all set to grow in stature for the new season. 7

AARON WILBRAHAM: No-nonsense striker has risen to the challenge with Luke Beckett injured, his eight league goals proving very useful. 8

JIM GOODWIN: The battling Under-21 Republic of Ireland international loves a challenge and gives his all when needed in County's engine room. 7

JAMES SPENCER: Young keeper has made a few errors, the last of which came against Barnsley last Saturday, but has otherwise shone having being thrust into the limelight 6

FRASER MCLACHLAN: Another youngster with proven ability. Works very hard and did so in all 14 of his league starts this season. 6

JON DALY: Brave striker but spent a lengthy spell at Bury this season and only scored three times in 19 league starts for the Hatters. 6

JOHN HARDIKER: Versatile defender is another consistent performer for County, his 38 starting appearances emphasises his importance. 7

ANDY WELSH: Wing-wizard is a breath of fresh air and what he lacks in the tackling department, the former Tameside 800m schoolboy champion more than makes up with his raw pace. 7

OWEN MORRISON: Former Sheffield United midfielder has the potential to earn a regular starting slot. 6

STUART BARLOW: Hotshot netted eight goals which proved vital in the relegation dogfight. 7

CHRIS WILLIAMS: Nimble striker scored three goals. One of the Hatters' brightest young talents. 6

ASHLEY WILLIAMS: Former Dr Martens League player, has yet to show his potential. 6
