A BATTLING performance saw the Hatters earn a thoroughly deserved point at the Galpharm Stadium.
Gary Ablett's Hatters side fought from first minute to last to frustrate the home players and supporters, most of whom probably expected three points.
Instead they saw the visitors hustle and harry their opponents with Liam Bridcutt outstanding for the Hatters.
County could have taken the lead with only 47 seconds on the clock, but Nicholas Bignall shot wide after a long ball had caught out the hosts' defence.
It was the Hatters who enjoyed the better of the opening 20 minutes, albeit without seriously testing Alex Smithies.
Although Town came into the game more as the first half progressed, they were similarly indifferent in front of goal.
That said, they came closest to breaking the deadlock when Antony Kay struck the top of the crossbar from 18 yards.
The second half was a similar story with Owain Fon Williams denying Kay and Jordan Rhodes.
At the other end, Bridcutt saw a shot deflected over and Smithies held David Poole's effort at the second attempt with a draw the right result.
What is your verdict on the action? Have your say.

Now I would like to see some sign of life from the boardroom. What have they done so far? Sanctioned a couple of loan deals? It is glaringly obvious that County still have the basis of a decent side but just as obvious that the squad is wafer thin and has been left with some weaknesses.
When the loan players go back, what then? They aren't at EP as cover for injured players, they are covering those weaknesses. And what if/when County do run into the inevitable injuries?
Will the team and incredibly loyal fans be betrayed or, to put it another way, when the transfer window opens the owners either crap or get off the pot.
