The Hatters will host the La Liga outfit on Tuesday August 4, four days before they travel to Boundary Park for the their league opener against Oldham Athletic.
"Real Valladolid are top quality opposition who will keep the ball and make us work very hard," said new boss Gary Ablett.
"The game will show us how much the players have listened and learned on the training ground and give us an idea as to how far we’ve come in a short space of time.
"I’m sure our fans will also relish the opposition to see quality Spanish opposition at Edgeley Park."
Meanwhile, Ablett has continued to assemble his backroom staff with the appointment of Paul Gerrard as the goalkeeping coach.
The former Everton keeper will also act as understudy to first choice Owain fon Williams.
The appointment comes just days Ablett named Steve Jones as the club's new strength and conditioning coach. Tweet
