TOMMY ROWE: His skill and strength was much in evidence throughout the season, earning him a move to promoted Peterborough. 8
OWAIN FON WILLIAMS: Arrived from nowhere (well, Crewe reserves) last summer to bring stability to one of County's most troublesome positions, earning Welsh Under-21 recognition and a call-up to the full Wales squad. 7
JOHNNY MULLINS: Stalwart defender, who played at right-back and centre-half, turning in consistent performances wherever he was placed.
MICHAEL ROSE: Having worked his way back into the starting line-up the former Manchester United trainee did not let anyone down. 6
JAMES TUNNICLIFFE: Showed a maturity beyond his years when called on to perform in the centre of the defence. A wanted man for several other clubs. 7
MICHAEL RAYNES: The young skipper avoided, for the most part, the dreaded injury problems, to enjoy his best season so far for County. 7
JOSH THOMPSON: Only started six games at the end of the season, but his obvious ability has already attracted interest from West Brom and Manchester United. 7
DOMINIC BLIZZARD: Another who had to overcome being omitted early on in the season to show his quality in the middle of the park. 6
PAUL TURNBULL: The 20-year-old midfielder never let anyone down when asked to provide some bite in the centre of the park. 6
MATTY MAINWARING: One of the young midfielders, along with James Vincent, who benefited from an early call-up by manager Jim Gannon. 7
GREG TANSEY: Once in danger of being the forgotten man at Edgeley Park, Tansey re-emerged with some classy showings. 6
PETER THOMPSON: Given the difficult task of playing as lone striker, and his progress was curtailed after suffering a collapsed lung. 6
CARL BAKER: Undoubtedly skilful, but had an inconsistent season before an operation ended his involvement. 6
MATTY MCNEIL: A powerful presence who never gave less than his all whether at centre-back or in the forward line. 6
OLI JOHNSON: Scored six times in eight starts following move from Nostell Miners Welfare. A real handful for defenders. 7
