CHRIS O'Grady's first goal for the club earned Stockport County a valuable draw against League One's runaway leaders, Leicester City.
The striker, on loan from Oldham Athletic until the end of the season, had made a habit of hitting the woodwork in recent weeks, but he found the back of the net at the Walkers Stadium with a superb fifth-minute volley.
Leicester were unbeaten in 21 games before last night and an already formidable task for the Hatters was made harder when Leicester took the lead with barely a minute on the clock, Kerrea Gilbert's cross taking a deflection past keeper Owain fon Williams,
But County were only behind for four minutes before Chris O'Grady equalised with a spectacular solo effort, volleying home after teeing himself up with a clever flick.
Fon Williams saved with his foot to keep out Steve Howard's shot.
The visitors looked to have earned a penalty when Leon McSweeney's shot was blocked by Jack Hobbs's arm, but referee Graham Salisbury suggested it had hit the Leicester man's chest.
County looked the more likely to grab a second-half winner with subs Greg Tansey and Oli Johnson drawing good saves from Leicester keeper Dave Stockdale.
O'Grady almost ended the Foxes' unbeaten run with a piledriver in injury-time but Stockdale was equal to it.
COUNTY: Fon Williams 6, Mullins 6, Raynes 7, Tunnicliffe 7, Rose 6, Rowe 7, Dicker 7, Mainwaring 6 (Tansey 46mins 7), McSweeney 6 (Johnson 61mins 6), O'Grady 8, McNeil 6. Subs: Rigby, J Thompson, Vincent.

Magnificent point lads. Well done again!
Against all the odds Jim kids were very unlucky not to win last night. County were ahead of Leicester in every statistic except yellow cards and fouls, what a wonderful testiment to the team.
Superb result & performance last night, yet another decent shout for a penalty turned down. One penalty in 40+ games this season suggests Jims' criticism of refs, justifiably, is penalising us. Having watched Oldham v Leeds proves that we can get into the play offs if we get that break in games, it'll be tough but who knows.
So its take-over time at county. Will it be the Lord Snape led, Brenden Elwood backed, group, or will Mark Maguire pull his group together in time to challenge. All in all exciting times for county fans.
