The Stockport striker on loan from Oldham was delighted at the reaction to his performance, which included County's breakthrough goal three minutes after the break.
He said: "It was nice, they're decent sets of fans from both sides.
"I was happy to get a good reception. I've come to Stockport played five games on the bounce and I'm starting to feel like the player I was last season.
"I know I can score goals and I know I'll give most defenders trouble in this league."
Second-half goals from Davies, Anthony Pilkington and Peter Thompson spoiled Dario Gradi's return as Crewe's caretaker manager.
County boss, Jim Gannon was delighted with his team's performance.
He said: "Crewe started really well, but we weathered their early storm and worked our way into the game.
"We talked about one or two tactical issues at half-time and the lads came out and played so much better."
