STOCKPORT set up a League Two play off final against local rivals Rochdale at Wembley thanks to Liam Dickinson's seventh minute goal against Wycombe.
Jim Gannon's men survived intense second-half pressure and five minutes of injury time to spark scenes of mass celebration at Edgeley Park.
Dickinson gave County the dream start with his early goal.

The big striker won a challenge against skipper Mike Williamson on the half way line and then sped towards goal, leaving Leon Johnson behind. There was still work to do but the former Woodley Sports striker coolly slipped the ball to the side of Frank Fielding in the Wycombe goal.
After surviving the initial County onslaught, Paul Lambert's Wycombe side started to dominate, but the closest they came to equalising in the first half was a Delroy Facey header that went by the post. Tommy Doherty's scissor kick was also well saved by Conrad Logan.
Dickinson had a deflected shot saved by Fielding at the start of the second half, but after that the visitors piled on the pressure.
Logan had to scramble away Gary Holt's header while Scott McGleish's header from Sergio Torres' cross went narrowly wide. Leon Knight also had a good chance late on but sent his close-range volley high and wide.

I feel about 70 years old tonight. That was unbelievable. We needed to get a grip of the midfield but just couldn't get the ball. How on earth Wycombe failed to score I don't know. Had they got one they would have got another...
Lambert's comment about the crowd at EP rebounded big style. The fantastic fans got County through today.
Our history is littered with matches where we've played well and lost and noone remembers that, no matter how well you play. No apologies from me on that score.
Great goal. Had a lot to do and did it admirably.
Que Sera Sera ....... I echo your thoughts John, our inexperience in midfield showed, their three 30+ midfielders ran the show and we had no one to combat it. Still the defence was magnificent and I don't remember Logan having a save to make, fortunately they couldn't hit a barn door. Can't wait for the final as it should be a cracker. Come on County.
I cannot wait for Wembley. Its county there for the 5th time and it must be our turn to win. Jim Gannons young team will not have Wembley nerves, and it should be a great game.
Just a thought, Ashley Williams came back to support the lads but no Anthony Elding,he's not really featured for Leeds, has he realised he's dropped a big one in signing for Leeds or did his fall out with Jim Gannon continue until he left the club?
For me Saturday was a horrendous day. Finger tapping, nail chewing, fidgeting. I didn't even bother watching the cup final.
I've been supporting County for a while now and been to some big games but the tension I felt on Sat was incredible. I was so drained yesterday I couldn't even make myself a cup of tea. Why do we do it chaps?
