County take on third-placed Darlington, who are just five points ahead of Gannon's side, having played two games more, at Edgeley Park.
Gannon said: "What I want people to reflect on is that we have done brilliantly in the last 21 games and the players have done extremely well.
"So rather than get in an intense serious mode I'd like people to revel in the fact we've got a good team playing good football and we've some fantastic games to look forward to.
"It's going to be a fantastic end to the season and it starts against Darlington.
"What a great game against the team just above us. They're very much in our sights, and after them we'll be looking at Hereford.
"The players are itching for the challeenge of getting out there and let's hope they turn it on again."
Darlington have won only once in the last seven games, but did pick up a point at Barnet on Tuesday, putting them back in the automatic promotion spots.
"Darlington will have been quite happy to stop the run of conceding goals and losing games," added Gannon.
"Psychologically it will help them jumping back into third, but there are a lot of catch-up games to play."
Defender Jim McNulty came through 45 minutes of Monday's Manchester Senior Cup tie against Bury and will go into Gannon's squad.
Last season: Stockport 5 Darlington 2
Key opponent: Julian Joachim - striker's experience is valuable at this stage of the season
Prediction: Stockport 2 Darlington 1 - Darlo are in a patchy run of form

2-1 will do me. Where do we sign for that?
Looking forward to this. Not been as much as I'd like this season but will enjoy a pie, a pint and hopefully three lovely big juicy end of season points!
Come on County!
If County have any designs on finishing in third spot then this is a must win game. Perhaps Jim will show team the video of 4-0 drubbing last October to give a bit of extra motivation and hopefully cut out silly mistakes which apparantly cost them the game.
Tomorrow a 1 - 0 will do for me.
Cant see County not winning this one. A decent 2-0 with Dicko and Rose will see the gap at the top shorten to striking distence with the game in hand. Just hope the loss of Williams isnt critial.
Pitch'll be a mess - Thanks Sale Cuckoos.
Which clown arranges a rugby game the night before a County game.
This wouldn't happen in the Premier League but its only County in League 2. Be a shame to see our promotion push spoilt by the egg chasers.
Is it true they train on it as well??
I despair............
