County have drawn four out of their six league games so far this season, including Saturday's 1-1 result at Grimsby.
But Briggs, who has endured a difficult year because of injury, believes a change is on the way.
"It was very frustrating at Grimsby because I think we had the chances to really push for three points," he said.
"It's starting to feel similar to when Chris Turner was here and we drew so many at the start of the season.
"We need to start turning these draws into wins now and I'm sure we will because we have got the ability and the goalscoring power."
Determined
Briggs, who broke his leg against Notts County on Boxing Day, is determined to work his way back into the first team.
"It's hard for me, playing bits of football in the reserves and bits of football in the first team," he added.
"I want to play as many games as I can to get some match fitness in.
"Obviously, you want to play every game but the gaffer is making the decision to keep the team.
"I have been out for a long time and I have to wait for my chance.
"Hopefully one of those chances will come and I can get my place confirmed in the team.
"I'm a character who works hard in training and every reserve game I play and every first team game I come on in.
"I'll just keep working hard, plugging away and hopefully my chance will come."
Do you think County are going in the right direction? Have your say.

Three wins in 18 league games is relegation form. JG thinks we're better than we actually are.
Is JG suddenly a bad manager? It doesn't seem likely. Have the players now become poor players? That doesn't logically make much sense either. So what is the problem? Maybe they need a laugher, a comfortable win. Certainly some goals would be nice, no matter how they go in. Off knees, backsides, defensive cockups, however they go in they'll take some pressure off. There were huge expectations at EP this season but County are not the only team good enough to win division 2, there's probably another eight or nine, with not much to choose between them.
Jim Gannon said as soon as he took over that he would rather win a game, lose a game than get 2 draws so obviously he is frustrated with 4 draws in 6 games, especially when he looks at the top of division 2 and sees a team that County put TEN goals past in 2 games last season!
But he is no dummy, he knows what the word parity means and he always knew and said that this was never going to be an easy division to get out of. (In the right direction anyway!)
Last season we had 1 win and 2 draws after 8 games and nearly went up.
Come on County 8-)
