STOCKPORT have been drawn against Tranmere in the first round of next season's Carling Cup.

The two sides last played each other in the 2004/2005 season when Rovers beat County 1-0 in the League One encounter at Prenton Park.

Under Ronnie Moore Tranmere missed out on a League One play-off place last season, but Jim Gannon's men will have home advantage.
