MANCHESTER United and Manchester City have surprisingly clashed only five times in the history of the FA Cup, although there was a meeting between Newton Heath and Ardwick in 1891.
The most recent meeting between the two sides was, like it will be on Saturday, at Old Trafford.
But hopefully Saturday's game will be settled in less controversial fashion than the 1996 fixture.
After the Blues took an early lead through Uwe Rosler, the Reds got back into the game with a penalty that is still disputed today.
As the ball sailed over for a corner the referee spotted some tussling between then City defender Michael Frontzeck and Eric Cantona, and duly awarded the Reds a penalty, which the Frenchman despatched.
United had their wind in the sails following the incident and ran out winners thanks to a Lee Sharpe goal.
United won the previous meeting to 1996 too, winning by a solitary Norman Whiteside goal in the 1986-7 season.
And United were, surprisingly, convincing victors in the Blues'golden era, thrashing them 3-0 in the 1969-70 season, with goals coming from Brian Kidd 2 and Willie Morgan.
However, its not been all one-way traffic and City managed to put one over on their neighbours in the 1954-55 season, winning 2-0 thanks to goals from hayes and Revie.
In the 1925-6 season, the two teams clashed in the Cup semi-final, with the Blues emerging 3-0 winners.

I'm not old enough to remember any but that 1996 one, and I though but for the referee City won have run out winners. There was nothing going on in the box and United got a pen, and it still aggrieves me today.
