UNITED skipper Roy Keane is likely to face an FA trial by video following Saturday's home defeat against West Ham, according to reports.

The Reds' influential skipper was involved in a number of heated challenges after seeing his side slip to another uncharacteristic defeat.

The 30-year-old midfielder was caught on camera getting involved in two fiery clashes with Joe Cole and Tomas Repka. He looked to have elbowed Cole while Repka felt the full force of a hefty tackle.

The FA will wait to receive referee Paul Durkin's match report before deciding whether to take action against the Republic of Ireland star.

Keane has earlier been cautioned by Durkin for dissent and followed that up with some more anger-filled lunges as the game progressed.

However, the Old Trafford captain has been a model of restraint this season after initially failing to find his form.

He openly admitted that his team-mates had been carrying him, but has fought back in typical bullish style. He is a vital component to United's honours push this term.
