ROCHDALE are in the dark regarding newspaper stories that manager Steve Parkin is about to sit himself in the hot seat at First Division Barnsley.

One of the youngest managers in the league, Parkin has been linked with several vacancies but he is under contract for another two years at Spotland.

He has also denied as paper talk stories linking him with managerial vacancies in the last few weeks.
