Macc grab D'Laryea on loan

MACCLESFIELD Town have signed powerful 21-year-old City central defender Nathan D'Laryea on a month's loan deal.

Handicapped by the loss of left-back Jimmy McNulty and centre-back Andrew Teague with broken legs both received in the Stockport derby match, Ince appreciates D'Laryea's athleticism and versatility.

"Nathan is a strong young man who can play in central defence, or at left-back, and this will give him an opportunity to play competitive football," said the Moss Rose boss.

If Ince deploys D'Laryea at left-back this will free Kevin McIntyre, who has deputised for McNulty, to return to a midfield role.

Ince added: "With John Murphy and Matt McNeil up front I am really looking for Kevin McIntyre's quality delivery into the box."

D'Laryea regularly captained City's reserve team but has yet to make a first-team appearance for the club.

The ambitious defender is looking to continue learning his trade at Macc, adding: "I want to be successful in football. I want to go back to City knowing that I've made a difference and I'll be pushing to get on to the pitch as much as possible."

What do you think? Have your say.

GOOD LUCK NATHAN.

Good luck Nathan, but I fear your opportunity may have passed at City. 21 and nowhere near the first team, with the likes of Ned and Micah leap-frogging you.
Still, enjoy the first team at Macc, they need a hand, and fingers crossed that it can do to you what Preston did to Beckham........
