Who's the seasons top Bod?

We are giving you the chance to choose the Greater Manchester Footballer of the Season. We have teamed up with our sponsors Boddingtons to select the star player in the region and discover who is your top young player.

M.E.N. Sport journalists who have covered United, City, Bolton, Wigan, Oldham, Stockport, Macclesfield, Rochdale, Bury and the non-League scene have given their verdicts, but it is your view that matters. By way of encouragement to join the debate to find the regionés top 10, the reader who votes for the eventual winner and in no more than 50 words best explains why will win a yearés supply of Boddingtons.

And the reader under 16 who chooses the winning young player and why he is their choice again in less than 50 words will get the chance to join the M.E.N. Sports Desk for a week and present the young player with their trophy.

I vote Rory Patterson. His passion and desire to help drive the club forward have been an inspiration to us all. He has shown commitment to the club and its fans and also been involved in fund raising for local charities which is a true testament to the player.

Rory Patterson has been an inspiration this season at FC United.
He has put his heart and soul into winning games for FC and plays with flair. He has scored vital goals at vital times to make us champions in our first season.

Rooney's your man. As well as being the well publicised hope of the nation, for much of the season he has dragged United along by it's boot laces away from midtable mediocrity and his awesome displays have been one of the highlights of what has otherwise been a disappointing season.

My Sportsman of the year goes by the name of Wayne Rooney also Known by the adored as the 'White Pele'.
Only wish he goes to the World Cup 100% fit.

I am going to go for Rory Patterson. The young Irishman has been the Keano equivalent at FC, with a similar ??" I want to win all - attitude. He has seen his fair share of red and yellow cards too. Things can only get better next season.
