IN-FORM Rochdale can burst clear of the relegation zone tonight by beating fellow strugglers Barnet.

Victory at Spotland will keep the hosts in League Two should Torquay fail to beat Stockport, but the club's leading goalscorer Rickie Lambert is well aware defeat could be disastrous.

"We can't lose to a team below us because it's a six-pointer," he said. "We won't go into the game thinking a draw is enough but it's so important not to lose. It's going to be a tough game. It's really important, a must-win game."

A run of four unbeaten games, including a first win at home since November, has guided Dale away from the drop zone and Lambert, who has hit 20 goals this season, is eager to ensure their League status is maintained tonight.

"We've been doing well recently and hopefully we can carry that on," he said.

"We don't want to keep talking about it but it's not as bad as a few weeks ago when we were really panicking."
