BURY defender Chris Brass is hoping a hero emerges when the Shakers travel to Darlington.
The Shakers are just one point above County and Brass is determined not to let history repeat itself. Brass was player-manager at York City when they went down two seasons ago.
He said: "I've had the horrible taste that you get when you do go down and I'm making sure that it won't happen again. I'm also making sure that these boys are aware of what that feeling can be like.
"We have to make sure that when you do get the opportunity, you step forward. Somebody now can make a name for themselves and be a hero. Everybody has got the part to play, and we've got to knuckle down and make a major sacrifice.
"It's massive, we are playing for more than our futures, we are playing for the future of Bury Football Club, and we are playing for the future of the people that work in the offices. We are playing for absolutely everything."
Bury boss Chris Casper is hoping to have midfielder Lewis Gobern, who has been suffering from a leg infection, back in harness.
Prediction: Darlington 1 Bury 1
Key opponent: Jemal Johnson - on loan Blackburn striker will be a threat

Looks like another zero point weekend for the worst supported team in the North West (No, I don't count Macc as a proper team). The trap door is gaping.
I feel for Casper, all that effort and no one cares.
