FC United: Rebels get friendly

FC UNITED will play UniBond One promotion hopefuls Woodley Sports in a friendly fixture at the Stockport side's Lambeth Grove ground tonight.

The Rebels' manager Karl Marginson arranged the game as last week's postponement and this weekend's blank schedule meant the team would have gone 16 days without playing ahead of the home game with Flixton on March 15.

Admission to the game will be '3 for adults and free for under-18s.

The fledgling club is also set to announce it will take on a third full-time member of staff.

They will shortly be advertising for a club development officer whose job will be develop the club's community links.

Meanwhile, FC United have released their first DVD, charting the first three months of their inaugural season.

The 93-minute disc shows highlights from the club's first 14 games, including 51 goals, and also carries a short film `The People vs Malcolm Glazer'.

The DVD is available for '12.99 from www.fc-utdshop.co.uk

These "People" never give up on an opportunityto make money do they. The People versus Malcolm Glazer sounds almost like Where's the Persecution. Mind you if the DVD is as good as the FC site it should almost be amateurish.

Next they will be claiming that FC are sponsored by a Brewery and a Finance Company. Oh they are. Lordy lordy. So much for ethical sponsors.

What a bunch of fakes and oppurtunists! Buy our new DVD!!!

I've done more research on Bhopal for those who have not. (Probably everyone). Appears the Bhopal disaster is sort of a "Remember the Alamo" that leaches like Greenpeace and all the other ex-communists. It appears they use it more as a fundraising campaign for anti-capitalist and anti-corporate causes than to actually help people. It is a shame that people are using a real disaster and real victims to push their agenda. Reminds me sort of the way W. used 9-11 as an excuse to invade Iraq. Tragic Disaster = Opportunity to do whatever the hell I want. I think FC should have done more research before they signed up with the BMA. But maybe they did.

Holy crapola Batman, just reread the story again. 13 pounds for a DVD that probably cost less than 50 pence to burn?? Malcolm anyway you could buy one and start bootleg copies to sell at matches?? Talk about profit making!! And the more I read about the BMA, the more I am disgusted that this club is more and more involved in politics and less involved in actual football. Much like in the States when we boo and jeer when good-for-nothing politicians show up at sporting events to garner votes, I wish FC would just stick to football and stay the hell out of politics.

I don't want government running my sports teams and I don't want sports teams running my government. Maybe they need to add separation of Sport-and-Government to the US Constitution so an FC never happens here. On an NFL note the new labor (labour for you limeys, wink wink) agreement passed with flying colors last night. 6 more years of stable NFL action! And Chelski is out of the Champions League. Woo Hoo!!

Tommy, please get treatment. Your tiresome contributions have been weird, irritating, pathetic, and never over 25% literate. But now they're just the mark of a sad, disconnected, totally misinformed obsessive. You really do need treatment. Let go, there's a good chap.

BS Detector...Tommy is like a dog with his bone, he won't let it go,

BS, dont worry about the tampa fraud, he will carry on as long as he is getting paid by the glazers - one more debt to add to the OT debt mountain that the glazers expect us to pay. And yo will notice he always resorts to personal insults, never provides answers to legitimate questions raised.
Oh and a quick word for Eric, sorry you were right, I now agree with you that there is only one tampa fraud under all those aliases. More fool me for trying to be fair to such people. No point. Every snide personal remark by the tampa fraud means one more nail in his/her/its coffin of credibility.

BS Defector (ie Free Red) don't you have some GPS-ing to do? I like how you post directions to away matches and then post under other aliases thanking yourself for them. (Only trying to prove to all doubters that someone actually uses them). I am going to have to break out the Mapquest for the next away match and beat you to punch in direction giving.

Woodley Sports was another cracking night out. Decent social Club, pitch, stands and a 2-4 win for FC against a club two divisions above us. Sorted.

BS Defector it seems to me that Tommy is just trying to help FC through the fog of its contradictions. For example its sponsors include a finance company (more debts Vicar?). a T Shirt company (promoting violence) and a brewery (no conflict there I know). As for Pawns R Us no problem if you are in it for the money just be honest about it.

Thanks to the campaign of Tommy and myself we have now forced the Chief Executive and Board into reverse and they will be reducing season ticket prices for next season. Now lets see under 18's to be allowed into all games with no charge (thus giving them more money to spend in the local). Hows the yellow striped kit coming along marketing dudes? Tommy I think we are going to need an MPV for that Oldham trip.

Tommy I have finally reached the conclusion that Fickle yellow stripes ex Red (having rearranged the Norton away game so he can watch the Real United on his favourite medium), Eric the Unhinged, BS Defector, Pawns r us and that unspeakbale marketing snob Call me JJ are all creations of one and the same person. Now who do you know that used to write scripts before becoming a Chief Executive?

there you go again tampa fraud, resorting to personal abuse. Pathetic

BS Detector. Judging by his amount of frustration, I think Tommy has a problem with his bone.

Fickle Red what we need is a marketing campaign. Send for JJ and his psychedelic tie collection. Lets try and come up with a unique USP. How about an advertising campaign in Bury. How about "We are united in Bury" or JJ's favourite "We are untied in Bury".
