Bury: Casper gets cold comfort

BURY boss Chris Casper is frustrated by the effects of the winter on his side's bid to escape the League Two relegation battle.

The Shakers were unable to extend their five-match unbeaten run after Saturday's game against Macclesfield because the Gigg Lane pitch was frozen.

"It's not been the best of winters for us and there is absolutely nothing you can do about it," said Casper.

The postponement gives left-back Tom Kennedy time to recover for tomorrow's home derby against Stockport.

"We've got to make sure he's right. The last thing we want is him being out for another three or four weeks," added Casper.
