So a fledgling club win some silverware in their first year how truly amazing. Thing is if you have the financial muscle of FC its a disgrace if you don't win something. As someone so aptly said FC are the Chelsea of the pub non league. Marginson however is no special one. I think Tommys estimate is a generous one but one more season will be a step too far. When the team start struggling the rats will jump another ship just as they jumped from Liverpool to Manyoo to Arsenal and then to Chelsea. To paraphrase Marx (Groucho) who would want to be part of a club who would have these people as members.

Having been to Cardiff to watch Utd beat Wigan I now realise that club is dead. The people around me, the passion, the players and the feeling of absolute love for my club have gone. I paid money to watch a club that are really a fake immitation of years gone by with over paid players performing fake celebrations like it meant more than there weekly wages. In recent weeks I've watched FC Utd and was suprised how many of the Old Stretford End I recognised, these are people with a real passion for football watching players performing for pride and not for money. As from next season those 3 egg head Glazer brothers in Cardiff on Sunday won't be receiving any more of my money. As from next year I'm leaving the fakes of Old Trafford to follow the true reds. The time has come unfortunately for the fake Man Utd of Old Trafford to stand down and the Real FC Utd to stand up. As for Malcolm, what the hell has this Country come to when they are handing out free lap tops in mental institutions to allow nutters to send in comments to local newspapers. I don't know.

George. I am not anti American and neither am I anti genuine FC fan. What I am opposed to is the pious nonsense that is spouted by the like of Walsh and his camp followers who seek to justify their desertion of United as some form of search for the Holy Grail. Its not as has been stated nany many times. Face it Glazer is a capitalist whose interest is money (big surprise) but he will service that through success at United or he will fail. The MEN's FC site (and other sites for that matter) allow people to write in with their opinions and, if they so wish, retain their anonymity. I think we all agree that this is a good system. (After all, in this day and age, you never know how people are going to react, do you?) However, if we choose to retain our anonymity, we shouldn't be pots calling kettles black. Malcolm seems to think that James of Blackley is Free Red. I think he's almost certainly wrong, but then again, there's no way of knowing. People may choose to post under different names, and that is their prerogative. But it's a little bit hypocritical to sneer at people for using multiple identities if you do it yourself. Even worse is to assume another contributor's identity and wilfully send opinions which are contrary to that particular poster's point of view. The other day someone sent in a post under the name Where's the Prosecution? but presented a point of view which was clearly at odds with Prosecution's previous postings. He even stole Prosecution's phrasing and format. Putting aside for a moment the question of lack of originality, I think we have to agree that doing something like that stinks.

What is really strange is that all these impartial passers-by that post on this site always make the same lame arguments that Free Read and Eric the Read have been spouting for months. The Prosecution and Fairtown Dude just to name two (or is it actually one). Contrary to popular belief I really do only post as myself, but I seem to argue with the same person on the same points from under their four different aliases. Me thinks B.S. Detector, Fairtown Fairy and the Prosecution are all the same BS-prosecutin'fairy. Hence refer to as BSPF30 Read.

Trying to be Fair. You will see many examples through these pages of someone or somebodies "borrowing" my name to post clearly contradictory arguments. Of course when that happens the hypocrites here feel that is perfectly acceptable. They even attribute others postings to me by claiming they know its me. For a long long time Tommy and I were deemed to be the same person. Again the hypocrites feel this is perfectly acceptable. All I did was to play the same game back to them regarding James. I do not know or for that matter care if James is Fickle Red or whoever but I felt it worth pointing out the incessant contradictions in their bleatings. A sign of strength is how people accept challenge and debate. While there are intelligent FC posters on here I would say that Fickle Red, Eric the Unhinged, BS Defector to name but three (or could it be two) are not amongst them. That is my assessment. They obviously feel they are on very shakey ground. As vitriol as they say what comes around goes around. Despite the threats from Eric the Unhinged (a Police Van Chaser?) I will attend the AGM as is my right.
