AFTER thrashing Stockport 6-0 on Boxing Day, Macclesfield were frustrated by Wednesday night's cancellation at Shrewsbury and will be eager to get the game on against Chester.

Macc will be without Danny Swailes, who received severe bruising when scythed down just below the knee by County firebrand Tes Bramble.

Ian Brightwell, so influential in the team's recent improvements, will also be sidelined for three weeks with a broken metatarsal.

Chester have slumped to eighth in the league following three defeats and are again likely to be without former Everton striker Michael Branch.
