STOCKPORT suffered more misery as they sank to their second home defeat of the week.
Carlos Logan's 26th minute strike was followed by two late goals from Acpo Sodje and Guylain Ndumbu-Nsungu to sink Chris Turner's side.
Early on a cross by Harpel Singh in the 25th minute found Tres Bramble in front of goal but the big striker's header was brilliantly saved by Darlington's six foot seven inch keeper Bert Bossu.
But against the run of play a clever ball over the County defence by the experienced Phil Stamp found Logan and the former Manchester City midfielder drove the ball past James Spencer.
Stockport responded by piling on the pressure in a one sided second half with Keith Briggs going agonising close when his left footed strike from 20 yards came back off the inside of the post and Bramble went close with an instinctive half volley that went into the side netting.
In the 84th minute Darlington's Simon Johnson broke from his own half, fed Ndumbu-Nsungu who smashed the ball home.
Within two minutes Neil Wainwright's cross was headed in by Sodje to give the scoreline a misleading look.
What now for Stockport? Have your say.

I have heard off good authority that this year is boom or bust. If we get relegated, the club could well fold.
We are going down this season & our amazing supporters will be lucky to have a club in the future. Turner has just not had the experience or talent to make it with our awful team, & the players have been a real disaster this season. Nothing short of a miracle will save us now.
To save money on my constant Prozac re-fills I don't think I can bring myself to listen to any more live games. Its a sad state of affairs when I distance myself from my beloved football team & take solace in the likes of baseball instead.
The team & staff should be utterly ashamed of themselves. Absolutley unacceptable.

HOWEVER: If you give 3 goals away like that(I know we were pushing forward at the end but you still have to defend properly)then we can not expect to be winning games. We missed Michael Raynes sorely. It says a lot about the kid when we miss an 18 year old at the heart of our defence-we should not have to rely on him in this way.Hopefully when Tony Vaughan returns some of the weight will be taken off Bambi's shoulders. Ashley Williams' confidence looks shot. But where is Danny Griffin? Presumably he is still on the payroll-and I thought he was brilliant away at Shrewsbury where we would have won if it hadn't been for that clown in goals. Briggsy was good today so we didn't miss Mickael Wolski too much but we did miss Jermaine Easter, someone to score the numerous chances we created. Matt Hamshaw was excellent as usual-I'm pretty certain we will lose him in the January window because he should be playing at least in League one if not the championship, and Harpal Singh had one of his better games this season. Incidentally, how was he the Stockport Express player of the month? He has been hugely disappointing this season. The front two are short of confidence too-BUT WHERE IS ADAM LEFONDRE? Why not give Alfie a chance? He has scored goals whenever he's played and was last year along with Raynes and Allen given a 3 year contract and earmarked as the future of this club? What was the point in that if CT does not appear to rate him?
It is becoming increasingly obvious there are no resources to strengthen the squad so we have to be patient with CT and give him time to work with a very limited squad.I don't know if we can afford to sack him, but in all honesty what would be the point? There is no time for a new man to come in and we could do without yet ANOTHER upheaval in the playing staff.I wouldn't say no to a Gary Megson comeback though if he is sacked by Forest!
Finally, there is more to the financial side of the club than meets the eye-where is the money from Warren Feeney? There wasn't as much as there should have been but we haven't seen any of it.I don't know how much Brendan Elwood gets involved these days but I feel sure he is involved somehow. And finally to Mr. Kennedy. What a prick. He has raped the football club of all its assets purely in the interest of his own pocket and Sale Sharks. If they do not move onto another stadium in the near future, provided we are still in existence, SCFC could do much worse than merging with Macc Town.
It's time for everyone at EP to dig deep over Christmas and in the new year, because County dropping out of the league is unthinkable, but a very real possibility.COUNTY4LIFE
