The Rebels picked up 24-year-old Mike, who has also made 39 appearances and scored six goals for Aberdeen in the Scottish Premier League, yesterday but he is unlikely to make his debut against Castleton Gabriels at Gigg Lane tomorrow.
Mossley released Mike despite the fact that he scored 37 goals in 71 games for the UniBond One outfit, with manager Jason Beckford questioning his fitness.
But FC United manager Karl Marginson said Manchester-born Mike approached him, asking to play for the club, top of the Moore and Co Solicitors League's second division.
"I have never seen Leon play but he has been impressive in training and has a good football upbringing when you look at the clubs he has been at," said Marginson.
"He is quick, has good touch and good awareness. He may be carrying a little bit of weight, but we did fitness tests on the lads on Tuesday night and he did as well as anyone."

Looks like we have another player with a visa versa name to go with Barrie George, or George Barry as he was announced at Macc. Karl says he was impressed during training and at 24 he is at a good age. Having scored six goals in 39 games for Alex Ferguson's old club he could prove a real diamond at non-league level. Welcome on board Leon Mike, or Mike Leon as they would say in Macc.
I've seen this lad play for Mossley and he's fantastic at that level. Who knows what he's going to do in FC United's division. He could get 40-50 goals a season there if he keeps himself fit.
