FC United hope to beat freeze

FC United's home clash with New Mills, scheduled for tomorrow night, is subject to a pitch inspection later today.

The Gigg Lane pitch was frozen at the weekend leading to the postponement of Bury's home game with Rushden and Diamonds and, unless the weather improves, FC will suffer the same fate.

The Rebels' Division Two Trophy match away to New Mills on December 3 will be played at Macclesfield's Moss Rose ground, with prices of £7 for seats (£4 concessions) and £5 for terraces (£3).

Looks like the game will be able to go ahead.
Nice to see the board of FC United making the effort to get a pitch inspection done the day before the game to give plenty of time for information to get out to all the fans. They've said "save for an unexpected and serious deterioration in the weather, the match will go ahead tomorrow".
Every time they do things like that, it makes me proud to call them my team.

Malc, cant wait for tomorrow nights game. After watching the drivle at OT tonight(freebie courtsey of Schneider) it will be wonderful tomorrow night to hear some singing and good banter.
A point to make is that i did go to Gigg lane the night the Chadderton match was cancelled. At least the directors were outside to greet the fans and offer them some free curry and a drink before returning home. It also gave an opportunity to meet the players. They do care unlike the prem clubs. I also proud that they made an official complaint regarding Darwen and hyping of kids entry prices.
I sympathised with Darwens need to make a few quid but it annoyed a lot of people especially people from Darwen!! Our kid (from Darwen) had 3 kids so for him and tha kids it was B#24 instead of B#12. He's only a postman for godsake.

The pitch at Gigg Lane is today looking playable. Following an
inspection this morning we are now confident that, save for an
unexpected and serious deterioration in the weather, the match will
go ahead tomorrow. http://www.fc-utd.co.uk/news/story.php?story_id=140

Bobby I take your point about kids going to the game but it doesn't get away from the point that overall FCUM are fleecing their fans more than Darwen did. As for the plastic Malcolm aka Free "Red" surely with a GM sat on his hands wondering what to do next arranging an early pitch inspection is a logical if not obvious act given the weather forecast. Then again there is a world of difference between the standard that Bury require and the surface required to "stage" a bit of a kick around. Tommy I am going for less than 2,000 for this one.

Spineless Lier Tampa posting to herself. MIND really have their work cut out. This IS my second post on this story. I have no doubt Spineless posted the first to herself to cause another round of bad feeling. I will deprive her of it by making this my last on this story. Viva la FCUM

Free "Red". Now lip sync this. If I keep "borrowing" from Malcolm I might even be able to arrive at a cogent post. For the moment sweetie just focus on your very helpful directions. I bet you oh so dashing in that traffic wardens uniform of yours. Do you carry a lickle book around with the words you have learnt?

"Tommy I am going for less than 2,000 for this one."

The attendance was 3,267 I think...

Wrong again, muppet.

Malcolm, this sentence is completely meaningless and nothing but utter drivel. Do you cut words out of a comic and paste them together in random order?

Okay - so I mistyped the attendance...but Malcolm was still wrong.

Someone Else. Just how long did it take you to come up with that name? The Theatre of Comedy lives on. Thanks for the laughs.

Malcolm, Tampa. Just how long did it take YOU to come up with that name? At least the majority of fans who post on here have something interesting to say. You just say the same old, same old, week in week out. You have to be the most boring person who has ever posted. At least Tommy posts the odd pearler. You are not funny at all. Don't give up the day job (if you have one).

I am Someone Else. As I posted before (but the Ed hasn't got around to posting because of his horlicks craving). It took me 5 seconds probably against 5 weeks for you and your "handle". When are YOU going to say something original? That would be earth shattering. As for my comedy career its already a little like FCUM. Going nowhere.

Malcolm Tampa. Dr. Who comic is it? Time travel? The 24/11/2005 to the 9/12/2005 is a bit more than five seconds and this story is less than four weeks old. As I said, meaningless utter drivel. Fc United are going to up next season. You are right about your comedy career.
