The Bury boss has first-choice goalkeeper Neil Edwards back after serving a one-match suspension but is still without four of his front-line players.
Midfielder Brian Barry-Murphy (knee), strikers Alan Smart (knee) and Jon Newby (ankle), as well as defender Lee Unsworth (groin) are still injured.
The two starting striker slots will be contested between Danny Tipton and Nicky Adams, who both started in the FA Cup, and new signing Danny Reet, on loan from Sheffield Wednesday.
"Neil's back from his suspension, but there's still plenty of competition who will start up front," said Casper, who is looking forward to playing Peter Shirtlift's side.
"Danny's impressed me since he arrived and he's pushing hard for a starting place. Hopefully we'll get a few of the injured players back in the next few weeks but until then we'll keep battling on."
He added: "Mansfield are a good side and though they are below us in the table, this match is still important. We need to win."
