BURY are trialling former England Under-21 international Steven Drench.

The 20-year-old Blackburn Rovers shot-stopper has been given the chance to earn himself a permanent deal at Gigg Lane by boss Chris Casper.

"He's a big lad who can command his box," said Casper.

"He has come to us highly recommended."
