Player ratings: United V Barnet

HOWARD: Did a lot of sideways bouncing along his 18-yard line - and very impressive it was, too 5

BARDSLEY: Didn't kick any officials, as he did on Saturday - and this time it would have been justified 6

BROWN: Nice easy re-introduction after nine weeks out injured, little more than a jogging session 6

PIQUE: Showed glimpses of his defensive cool and cultured passing but his slip allowed Barnet to score 6

ECKERSLEY: Tried too hard to impress at times, but let nobody down 6

MARTIN: Plenty of industry and a painful end to his debut as he slid into the hoarding 6

R JONES: Kept it simple and showed some lovely close control at times 6

MILLER: Terrific free kick and imposed his experience on midfield 7

RICHARDSON: His electric pace and directness had Barnet terrified 8

ROSSI: After his goal he started to show the hallmarks of true quality 7

EBANKS-BLAKE: Did most of the donkey work up front but it was hard against two big defenders 6

Subs -

GIBSON (for Martin 75): Little chance to show his stuff 5

BARNET: Flitney, Bailey, King, Hendon, Gross, Sinclair, Grazioli, Strevens, Yakuba, Lee (Batt 87), Soares (Tynan 4).

GOALS - Miller (4), Richardson (20), Rossi (51), Ebanks-Blake (89) for United. Sinclair (74) for Barnet.
