WITH Premiership attendances falling and ticket prices rising, the murmurings of discontent surrounding English football's top flight are growing louder.

Critics say the so-called `best league in the world' is a one-horse race, with champions Chelsea buying their way to another title and the also-rans battling to avoid relegation by playing dull, defensive football.

Others argue that saturation television coverage and players' huge wages have led to many fans turning their back on the game.
