Bury 1 Boston 1

BURY remain in the bottom two of League Two after Lawrie Dudfield's late shocker.

The Shakers were heading for only their second victory of the campaign until substitute Dudfield struck 10 minutes from time.

In fairness, it was nothing more than Boston deserved after being the better team in the second period.

But the Pilgrims trailed at the break when Dwayne Mattis scored for the first time since the opening day, heading in a Brian Barry-Murphy corner.

Despite being second best after the interval Bury should have made the game safe on the hour.

Jake Sedgemore sent Simon Whaley clear but the youngster hit the post with only keeper Nathan Abbey to beat.

And what wouldn't Bury fans have given to have David Nugent in their attack instead of seeing their former favourite watching in the stands.

It proved a crucial miss as Dudfield netted following a chaotic goal mouth scramble.

What did you think of the performance? Have your say.

Too many individuals brought in by the manager who have no pride in wearing that famous white shirt. As a long standing supporter and season ticket holder the current team is the worst i have ever seen play.
