Bolton V Everton: Player ratings

THE M.E.N's Richard Frost gives his verdict on Bolton's players for this home match.

JAASKELAINEN: little to do, but caught out on the cross for Bent goal: 6

HUNT: not stretched defensively, but only made a limited contribution going forwards: 6

BEN-HAIM: showed his growing stature by keeping a close eye on Ferguson's aerial menace: 7

JAIDI: his aerial power was a bonus in both penalty boxes: 6

GARDNER: another fine game with a strong attacking element to his defensive duties: 7

OKOCHA: looking more like his old self, but still struggled to engineer a breakthrough: 6

SPEED: tireless as ever, but put a couple of snap headers over the top: 5

NOLAN: could have had a hat-trick, did well to get in good positions, but then wasted them: 4

PEDERSEN: strong runs, prominent in the first half, but could have done better with a shooting chance: 5

DAVIES: gave Weir and Yobo a lot of trouble on the high ball, but no one fed off his service: 7

DIOUF: in a class of his own with his trickery and control down the flanks: 8
