Are you the North West's top football fan?

Are you thoroughly devoted to your football team’s cause? Nothing get in the way of your commitment to supporting your beloved club?

If so, you may be just the person we’re looking for - the North West’s Super Fan!

The M.E.N, in conjunction with Chester-based MBNA, a subsidiary of the Bank of America, is leading the search for the region’s top fan.

We’re after someone who follows the team home and away, maybe lives by superstitious ritual and perhaps proudly sports a tattoo of the club crest.

If that sounds like you, then the prestigious title of MBNA North West Super Fan 2010 could be yours.

The winner will be shortlisted for the overall regional title, to be announced at this year’s MBNA North West Football Awards 2010 and will receive the cost of their team’s season ticket, courtesy of sponsors MBNA.

Manchester’s super fan will also get the chance to attend the glittering event, which takes place on Monday, October 11 at Lancashire County Cricket Club, as a guest of the M.E.N. and will be presented with signed merchandise.

Players from the Premier League to the Blue Square Premier will compete for awards chosen by the public and a special goal of the year award will be voted for by guests on the night.

Katherine Swift, organiser of the MBNA North West Football Awards, said: “The North West’s fans are some of the best in the world and we’re looking forward to hearing all about the lengths people go to for their team.

“We want to hear about the trips up and down the motorway, naming children after your idols or anything else weird and wonderful.”
