Bolton 1 Spurs 1
SUBSTITUTE Dean Holdsworth scored his first Bolton goal since August 27 to take them to the edge of premiership safety.
He equalised in the 71st minute when French world cup star Youri Djorkaeff floated the ball to the edge of the box where Mike Whitlow headed it on. Holdsworth, who had only been on the pitch for 14 minutes, raced in to capitalise on a missed clearance by Chris Perry and hook the ball into the net.
It equalised an eighth minute strike by Steffen Iversen after he had been set clear by a brilliant chipped pass from the centre circle by Gus Poyet.
Bolton hit back to force a string of corners without creating a real chance.
They had a great let off a minute before Holdsworth's equaliser when substitute Sergei Rebrov missed an open goal after being set up by the outstanding Poyet but Bolton could have had a winner four minutes from time when Djorkaeff hit the bar with a free kick from 20 yards.
