Lisbon return to the top

LISBON St Anthonys drew level with Old Alts at the top of the Premier division after a thrilling 5-4 win over Vine Tavern.

James Turner scored four times for Tavern but was disappointed as John Maloney (2), Lee Maloney, Paul Monaghan and Chris Maddox hit back for Lisbon.

Chorlton Beech Sports continued their climb up the table with a 2-0 win over Sale West United, lifting them into third spot in the table.

Trafford Hawks won by the same margin against Trafford FC, thanks to a double from Steve Barclay.

James Coombes ended Bay Malton’s goal drought with a brace but it was not enough to prevent Urmston Meadowside gaining a 5-2 revenge win.

Broadway Urmston moved clear at the top of division one thanks to a 7-1 romp at BK Dons.

The victory was led by James Ginder (3), with Gilmartin, Moran, Rowbotham and Adamiuk completing the magnificent seven.

Title rivals Cheshire Midland were held to a 2-2 draw by Sale United and Sale Excel returned to winning ways with a 4-3 success over Bricklayers Arms.

Pelican completed a double over USC, winning 2-0.
